You may have noticed that my blog posts have not been as frequent as they has been in the Spring. One reason is that it’s Summer, the other reason is that the frequency of job interviews for future roles increased exponentially in June, July, and early August, along with my travel schedule (both for job related events, conferences like Supernova, and for personal reasons).
I’m pleased to say that I will have a new role starting August 30th, with Ipsos Vantis, the market research consulting arm of Ipsos, the second biggest global MR firm. As SVP, Technology, I’ll be based in the Boston area, reporting into the Manhattan office, and will be collaborating with Ipsos Vantis team members in San Ramon, CA, Parsippany, NJ, Bellevue, WA, and Vancover, BC. The Ipsos Vantis tech team focuses on consulting and market research around early product and service development for some of the leading global technology brands, as well as smaller firms.
I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to work for a MR firm with a much wider focus, and a specialized team within it that pretty much operates as a small consultancy. Plus, focusing on product development consulting and MR taps into my past vendor experience in product marketing, my interest in design and UI, and being able to focus, as opposed to trying to “cover it all.” I’ll be starting at the end of August, and I’m looking forward to being a part of the Ipsos team!
NewDigitalCafe’ will move forward and I’ll still cover the evolution of media across three screens- TV, Web, and mobile as well as the impact of social media platforms, Web 3.0, and the next Internet economy revolution.
Thanks to everyone for your past support, your words of encouragement and to those of you who helped make the above happen!
